Dental Medication List

Good dental hygiene is important and has been shown to improve pregnancy outcomes. Regular dental visits are encouraged during pregnancy.

If you require dental procedures during pregnancy, the following are allowed:

ANESTHETIC:

• Lidocaine with or without epinephrine

PAIN:

• Tylenol #3, Vicodin, or Percocet

ANTIBIOTICS:

• Erythromycin or Azithromycin
• Penicillin/Amoxicillin
• Keflex
• Clindamycin

Dental X-Rays are allowed IF ABDOMEN IS SHIELDED WITH LEAD APRON.
